Impossible Situations
| Sometimes we face what may
seem as an impossible situation in our life. We have no solution to a
difficult problem so we contemplate just giving up. But the Word of God
reminds us that there are solutions to seemingly impossible situations. Behold,
I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for
me?" Jeremiah 32:27.
It is not the circumstance that matters, it's our reaction to it. If our circumstances find us in God, we shall find God in all our circumstances. Most of us, in the course of a day or week, come up against circumstances that may cause distress or frustration. There are sometimes problems for which there seem to be no solution. We say, "It's impossible!" Jesus says in Matthew 19:26, "...with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Luke puts it this way in Luke 1:37, "For with God nothing shall be impossible." A young French boy was born blind. Oh how he longed for the gift of sight so he might be able to read. He knew that reading was an impossibility for a blind boy. With persistent fervor he began to study music and became an accomplished musician. Consequently, he developed an acute sense of hearing and with that, delicate sensitive fingers. Yet, he longed to be able to read books. When he reached his twenties he was inspired by the Holy Spirit with a very innovative idea. It was a simple solution to his problem. He had noticed that officers in the French army were sending short messages by a code that consisted of secret symbols pressed into the paper itself, so that the raised symbol could be instantly recognized by touching with the fingers. The thought came to him to use a similar type of code with a pattern of dots in a specialized alphabet so that he and other blind people could learn to read with their fingertips. With God's help and persistent energy this young man set out to master an impossible situation. The results were successful because the Louis Braille was invented and now blind people throughout the world can read with this system of raised dots. As a Christian we have God's Holy Spirit that will give us creative thoughts to guide us through difficult situations. If we listen closely and stay communicating with Him daily, the Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us. Nothing is too difficult for our God. Psalm 25:9 Charles
Wesley wrote in one of his sacred hymns; There
is a sign in a General Motors plant that reads like this: Impossibilities? It's a matter of the daring of the soul to go farther than it can see. For with our God, all things are possible.
