Claudia's Psalm
Inspired by Psalm 136 and
128
| My niece,
Claudia was called home to Glory, December 8, 2007. She lived her life
as an example of how life should be lived. She had a firm and steadfast
relationship with God, a caring and giving soul, an unwavering resolve
of doing what was right, helping others and loving her family with all
her heart.
As a memorial to Claudia her niece, Cheryl wrote this beautiful Psalm which depicts Claudia's love for her Lord and family. What an example for all who knew her. |
"Give thanks
to the Lord, for He is good,
for His steadfast Love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods,
For His steadfast Love endures forever.
Give thanks to the
Lord of lords,
for His Love endures forever;
To Him who alone does great wonders,
for His steadfast Love endures forever;
To Him who by understanding made the heavens,
for His steadfast Love endures forever."
Give thanks to my
King and yours,
Who in His great mercy helped me truly live;
to Him who placed me in a family with a heritage of faith;
to Him who showed me His ways when I was but a girl;
to Him who selected Joe, the love of my life, and
with God, the lover of my soul.
Comfort my Joe, who steadfastly sacrificed and
protected and provided for 45 years.
His joy will come in the morning with Your help.
Give thanks to my Jesus,
Who gave me a son, Rod, and a daughter,Evie and
another daughter by grace, Elizabeth,
who were "olive shoots" around my table,
treasures who walk in the path of Christ.
"Behold, thus shall the man and woman be blessed
who fears the Lord."
Give thanks to my Jesus,
the Promise Keeper who
said in His Word that I would see my children's children.
Can you see them? Aren't they beautiful?
Please pray for them and model His ways.
Give thanks to the
Comforter,
Who will send His Peace and His Revelation.
Sing praises to our God,
Who gives Life and Breath and length of days.
Sing praises to the Only One,
The Alpha and Omega,
high and lifted up,
and to Whom every knee shall bow.
Seek Him
now, while He may be found.
He is your purpose and He longs to say,
Well done, good and faithful servant."
